Tunstall and Mears Group have today signed a strategic partnering arrangement to create an integrated, preventative service, which could enable individuals to live independently at home for longer and switch the focus to a long-term preventative approach.
Tunstall, supported by Mears, has recently secured a long-term contract with Birmingham City Council, who has invested in a city wide telecare service that is planned to benefit up to 25,000 people over 3 years.
Alan Long, Executive Director at Mears says “Our agreement means that we are able to offer a joined up service, which is very attractive for the commissioner but more importantly, the service user’s point of view. For example, people don’t want several different people coming into their home. We are focused on streamlining services.”
